•Assists in the day to day running of the editorial operation of the magazine
•Ensures the magazine is completed on time and flat plan deadlines are met weekly
•Ensures editors meet their deadlines
•Revises articles and writes headlines captions and reviews when needed
•Directs editors on fixed input articles, features and news items
•Assumes the role of managing editor in his absence
•Proofreads magazine
•Helps shape the structure and content of articles when needed
•Co-plans the front page, artwork and pictures
•Signs off all text, pictures, headline and captions before print in the absence of the managing editor
