Director Corporate Communications, Middle East, Pakistan, Afghanistan (MEPA)
This role is based in Dubai

This position will be responsible for various communications assignments to further company objectives by establishing a positive company image among internal and external audiences. You will plan, prepare and deliver information concerning the company and its activities to media, customers, prospects, employees, key influencers, business partners, or the public. In the frame of corporate communications you will conduct research, generate ideas, develop messages, write copy, plan and implement programs.

Key responsibilities:
• Planning and implementing communications activities to internal and external audiences:
- to strengthen reputation
- to ensure that internal or external audiences understand and support company objectives
• Providing communications support to country management on local or regional projects on an on-going basis
• Writing press releases, speeches and articles
• Setting standards and coordinating with outside agencies, providing guidance on interview opportunities
• Assuring that all communications materials and programs are consistent with corporate guidelines
• Collaborating with HR on employee communications channels and content
• Participating in cross-functional communications teams:
- to support shifting or urgent company priorities (mergers and acquisitions communications, crisis communications, major communications events)
• Reviewing market research, secondary research, industry periodicals and other scanning sources
• Monitoring and tracking proprietary company data and other data sources:
- to measure and report on effectiveness of communications programs
• Writing concepts and strategies to pitch to journalists and generating stories across the region:
- creating templates for articles that can be adapted for media across the region
• contacting journalists in various story angles

Qualifications
• University degree in either communications or journalism preferred
• Working experience as a journalist and/or in public relations and/or corporate communications (5 years)
• Broad knowledge of journalism, public relations and communications principles/practices
• Arabic language skills compulsory in addition to fluency in English language
• Proficient PC skills
• High reasoning skills
• Keen to work in a high growth, fast paced environment
