PURPOSE

To serve as a Business Leader for eCommerce functions covering markets located within the geographies of the GCC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement online authentication initiatives (BAU VbV, dynamic authentication, checkout and other eCommerce developments and enhanced VbV solutions) in the GCC geographies.
• Rollout of Cross-border shopping alliances with key Visa clients and/or online merchants.
• Develop working level collaboration with internet payment service providers.
• Workshops and best practice sharing conducted in co-ordination with Risk for improved authorization performance among clients.
• Client support on all eCommerce and VbV related matters for GCC.
• Grow E-Commerce Acceptance through building relationships and partnerships with key sector leaders.
• Leverage Government relationships to the advantage of Visa E-commerce Strategy and Agenda.
• Develop new E-Commerce business by opening new products to internet payment.
• Act as the Visa contact and liaison for all Cybersource Products and Sales activities for the GCC Region.

Requirements

Business
• Strong experience in remote commerce/ payments;
• Strong experience in technical project management roles
• Proven track record in technical project management and IT service operations
• Process and procedure oriented with a very strong attention to detail and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong background in risk and fraud pertaining to online security risk and preventive measures.
• Proven track record of building partnerships with non banking clients.
• Proven examples of supporting implementation and management of new services or products
• Risk Management experience pertaining to online fraud and security in certain industries (airlines, online retail, telecommunications, Government sectors).
• Demonstrable consultative sales experience skills with an employment background in a long sales cycle model
• Ability to work to a plan with remote supervision
• Experience of a matrix organisation
• Excellent written and oral business communications skills in English
• Fluency in Arabic is desirable

Technical
• Comprehensive conceptual understanding of remote commerce channels, protocols and implementation tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office – World, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
• Broad understanding of .Net development framework and Microsoft enterprise technologies in general

Professional
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
• MBA is desirable.
• Knowledge of FMCG/retail environment advantageous
• Contacts in the industry within GCC.
• Retail merchant experience in a pan-regional environment is an asset
• Possession of strong knowledge and skills across a range of functions including strategy, marketing, operations, budgetary/accounting and administration, at a professional level
• Strategic and innovative thinker also capable of strong execution
• Strong negotiation skills leading to timely and acceptable resolutions
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills – Development and preparation of executive level briefs
