Marketing Manager | Abu Dhabi
Job Purpose
We are seeking a Marketing Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan that includes the roll-out of the international sporting event brand through advertising and promotions to ultimately drive tickets sales for the event. The Marketing Manager will also be responsible for managing event sponsorship at a local level, as well as merchandising and hospitality programs.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Tournament General Manager, your responsibilities will include:
> Developing and implementing the tournament’s marketing strategy to drive consumer interest in the tournament and ultimately generate maximum ticket sales
> Production of all marketing collateral including official match programs, promotional posters, event signage, printed information, VIP gifts, etc
> Managing the sponsor-related aspects of various tournament initiatives, such as the Youth Program, Partner benefits and Value-in-Kind arrangements
> Securing local tournament partners / sponsors and managing these relationships
> Developing and managing the marketing budget
Essential Skills/Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need:
> University degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications
> 10+ years business development and marketing experience, preferably with a sports or events background
> Ability to strategically develop and creatively execute a marketing strategy with desired results
> Knowledge of all aspects of marketing activation, including above-the-line and below-the-line tactics
> A sound knowledge of operational budgets and financial reporting
> Experience in managing concurrently a number of substantial and complex projects and relationships
