PR Officer | Dubai
Our client a large local bank is looking to recruit PR Officer to be based in Dubai.
The details of the role is as follows:
Job Purpose:
• To execute and support all Internal and external Public Relations strategies and activities for the BANK.
Reports directly to: Head of Public Relations
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• To provide full back office support for the Head of Public Relations.
• To effectively coordinate with different divisions to organize their requirements of all Public Relations activities, such as press conferences, exhibitions, branch openings, seminars, and similar activities.
• To effectively maintain and update BANK’s media lists.
• To help develop BANK’s media relations further through constant and well planned contact.
• To review all available publications and provide media clippings and advertising equivalency reports.
• To monitor publications and provide competition PR data on trend, style, focus and key messages.
• To work closely with academy on the execution of the various PR trainings and create a reporting system to assess and develop the ongoing programs.
• To support the Head of PR in creating and updating Public Relations policies and procedures and PR manual.
• To support Head of Public Relations in writing press releases, speeches and all other literature as required by BANK divisions.
• To compile and update a list of all exhibitions, events, conferences and sponsorship opportunities.
Occasional Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• To visit and maintain relations with media, publishing houses and the Dubai Journalists club.
• To take care of all media requests and coordinate all PR issues while Head of PR is unavailable.
• To provide occasional translation service for the PR department when necessary.

• A tactful individual who is able to deal with all employee levels within the BANK
• Strong communications skills in both English and Arabic
• A diplomatic, mature and approachable character, able to handle media complexities and requests.
Decision Making / Authority:
Decisions on PR implementation: As per delegation
Decision on expenditure: As per delegation
Education level required:
• University degree or equivalent
Professional/Technical qualifications/Diplomas:
• Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or Political Science
Experience:
• 1-3 years in Communications, PR or Marketing
Specialist Skills required for the Job:
• Comprehensive media knowledge
• Ability to track trends and collect market intelligence
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Tact and diplomacy
