Media & External Communications Manager | Cairo, Egypt

A Media & External Relations Communications Manager is required for our client who is leading the transformation of its enterprise and government customers by delivering secure, end-to-end, business-critical communications solutions that enable new business generation.
Your role as the MEA External Communications Manager is to ensure the optimum use of all relevant external communications channels and tools to deliver key strategic messages across different external influencer audiences in the region while being responsible for coordinating all communication efforts within the countries/clusters to ensure consistency in messaging across the region as well as foster creativity within the team. You shall expose the messaging and strategy across the African region while ensuring the best visibility for the region’s key leaders and spokespersons as well as act as the primary contact for journalists and reporters covering the Africa region in regional and local publications and respond to their inquiries and proactively supply them with information and story ideas. You shall take the lead in preparing, drafting, validating all the region’s press releases (mainly related to customer’s wins).

Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a good blend of external communications and project management skills, coupled with some line-management experience. You should have a degree in journalism, marketing, communications, public relations or a related field, and around 8-10 years experience in the communications filed (preferably in the telecoms industry). You must also have strong writing/ editing skills (in English and Arabic and preferably in French).
