The Role
You’ll be responsible for assisting in the day to day management of social media programs for client brands. You’ll work with both paid social and community management teams in supporting social strategy development, program execution and social measurement.
You will be accountable for:
Strategy
- Supporting social strategy development work by compiling client research, competitive data and social platform information
- Researching emerging social platforms to support client recommendations
- When appropriate, leveraging data from 3rd party research tools (e.g. Effective Measure, OOX)
- Presentation development support for client meetings
Execution
Supporting paid media tactical planning and buying
- Working with media partners to obtain necessary information
- Supporting team in developing media recommendations
- Trafficking and the set-up of tracking elements to measure social media buys
- Providing quality assurance after launch
- Monitoring campaigns to ensure maximum efficiency against targets and delivery.
Supporting the social community management process
- Supporting paid social team and community managers to develop and promote social content calendars for platforms like Facebook and Twitter
Supporting creative ideation and social program development
- Participating in campaign brainstorm sessions
- Working with team and external partners to define custom social user experiences (e.g. applications, contest, mobile executions, social TV, etc.)
- Supporting development and launch of brand campaigns
- Aligning with cross-channel partners to integrate social media into the overall communications plan
Measurement
Supporting the social measurement plan and reporting process
- Paid social reporting
- Extracting and compiling measurement data from social platforms
- Assisting with the building of client reports and ensuring prompt delivery
- Assisting team in identifying optimization opportunities and making media recommendations
Requirements
- Entry level role; related digital internships preferred but not required
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Demonstrate creative thinking
- Ability to work within a team, handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines
- Extremely detail-oriented, with clear and proven organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English & Arabic
- Keep abreast of industry trends through trade journals, industry workshops/seminars and track current events
- Exhibit passion for social media and emerging platforms
- Demonstrate genuine curiosity and interest in our clients & their business
- Digitally savvy, with specific proficiency at MS Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
