Nokia announces new smartphone for the premium market
News — By editor on July 17, 2011 at 1:15 pmNokia Oro, a premium touch smartphone, will be on the shelves in Jordan starting from early August 2011. Available in limited numbers only, Nokia Oro is crafted from a combination of leather supplied by Bridge of Weir LeatherTM and 18 carat gold plating, with a menu key of sapphire crystal.
This premium smartphone also features an 8 megapixel camera and a 3.5 inch reinforced-glass AMOLED display, creating a device that is a tough, colorful and rich in character.

It has been designed with an unmistakable passion for detail, whether it’s the gold details of the device, the sapphire crystal menu key or the hand-wrapped leather back.”
The Nokia Oro sales package also features an 18 carat gold edition of the award-winning Nokia J Bluetooth headset. Nokia J features Nokia’s “Always Ready” technology – so a user can simply pick it up and start talking when a phone call comes in – and offers up to three months of standby time between charges.
Nokia Oro starts shipping next quarter with the latest Symbian Anna software update, bringing users improved text input, enhanced Ovi Maps and a better browser.
