Nexus Holdings' new Managing Director promises fresh thinking on Middle East exhibitions industry

Nexus Holdings & Associates, the world’s newest events and exhibitions company, has appointed Neil Manwaring as Managing Director.

Manwaring, formerly Sales Director of Fairs & Exhibitions in London, will be based in Dubai, but with a remit to develop new event brands throughout the Middle East.

Dominic McGill, Nexus Holdings’ Chairman, formerly Regional Director of Fairs & Exhibitions Limited, says, ‘the time is right to deliver fresh thinking to the event and exhibitions industry’.

‘The exhibition centres want the industry to come up with new ideas,’ he says. ‘I’m confident that with Neil’s track record of building and managing new event brands, and his record in the region – developing Gulf Pack & Print, Gulf Educational Supplies Show – will mean he hits the ground running.’

‘The Gulf, and the UAE in particular, is recognised globally as one of the industry’s hot-spots – the challenge for event organisers is to deliver compelling new products,’ continues McGill.

‘Clients don’t just want bigger, they want better. This is an exciting time to be bringing new ideas to the table.’

Nexus is currently in discussions with international event’s brands to bring their franchised concept to the Middle East. The first Nexus event is expected in Q1 2009.
