Nissan is in the middle of controversy after their PR stunt on Reddit backfired, the brand hosted an AMA Session (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit with CEO Carlos Ghoson, however the stunt didn’t go as planned, even though it generated 4678 comments so far.
Many Reddit users accused the brand of planting questions using fake accounts, which is something Ghoson denied after a user asked him. Some of the questions came from accounts with no history and that’s what caused the controversy, however some of the questions that Ghoson actually answered came from proper accounts.
Seems like Nissan was so excited after they announced a new project with NASA to deploy autonomous drive vehicles, so they made it the topic of the AMA session, sadly it didn’t go as they planned.
