Prague, May 14th 2015 – The International Advertising Festival PIAF has published the 105 campaigns from 17 countries that have qualified to the final judging in Prague on May 25th and 26th. The most successful agency is BBDO Dubai with 16 shortlisted entries. The top 5 spots are held by longtime leaders in creativity – Germany’s Heimat and Serviceplan – as well as by 2 Russian agencies – Voskhod and Instinkt.
Russia is probably the biggest surprise with 32 entries in total. The increase in the number of entered campaigns from Russia can be attributed to the inclusion of PIAF into the national creativity rating. Czechs have also done well with 29 campaigns entered. Germany, the United Arab Emirates and Hungary have all made it to the “Battle of the Nations” top 5. Check out the shortlists here.
“I wouldn’t read too much into these statistics,” says Marek Hlavica, Director of PIAF. “This year, the jurors had very diverse opinions on the entries. This will certainly guarantee passionate discussions during the judging in Prague. And it can lead to surprises regarding to this year’s winners and losers.”
The Award Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, May 27th, at the National Gallery – the Trade Fair Palace. Along with the presentation of the PIAF winning entries, the event will also present the AKA Agency of the Year Awards and the BOB individual creativity awards.
The PIAF gala evening will conclude a two-day professional conference on May 26th and 27th, with 30 mostly international speakers, including some jurors. Find out more about the program here.
