Dubai, United Arab Emirates – October 13, 2012: Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a global leader in digital convergence technologies, today announced that it will be showcasing its comprehensive range of display solutions at the GITEX Technology Week 2012 taking place from October 14-18 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Samsung is introducing its transparent display (NL22B), the 75” LED LFD (ME75B) and the 3D video wall for the first time in the region. In addition, Samsung will showcase its range of digital signage solutions (LFDs) and SMART TVs (Series 7 and Series 8) at its GITEX stand.
Samsung’s portfolio of display solutions can be effectively integrated in various business verticals such as: education, government, hospitality, healthcare, aviation, retail, corporate and malls. For instance, Samsung’s NL22B transparent display and the 75” LED LFD can be used in a retail environment to provide customers with a unique and interactive in-store experience. The 75 LED LFD can also be used as an E-board in schools to enhance the learning process for students.

The Samsung NL22B is a transparent display that adds an interesting element to ordinary displays. It launches a new era of possibilities within digital retail design and has the ability to transform consumer shopping into a new immersive in-store experience. The NL22B transparent display is an all-in-one showcase that offers retailers an innovative way to display their goods and engage with its customers by transmitting information on the dynamic screen. The 22-inch transparent display is a cube-shaped device that contains a transparent front panel with a computer built into the chassis. It allows images and animations to interact with the products showcased inside the cube.
The Samsung’s 75” LED LFD (ME75B) is an ideal product for businesses within the healthcare, retail, aviation or education as it is engineered to reduce energy consumption and eliminate the need for projection equipment. Samsung’s advanced LFD can be used with a touch overlay and can be implemented within retail stores to provide customers with an interactive guide. In addition, it can be utilized by restaurants to display their interactive menu or by corporate to give information to visitors in the waiting lounge.
Made from a slim edge lit LED HD panel, Samsung will be displaying its 3D video wall, which is an ideal product for business environments, concerts, indoor and outdoor displays.
As a part of its display solutions, Samsung will also demonstrate its latest range of SMART TVs (Series 7 and Series 8) that can be included as a part of a hotel’s premium suites or facilities in offices for C-level executives. In addition to offering a vibrant viewing experience, the Samsung SMART TV introduces a host of innovative features such as Motion Control, Voice Control, Face Recognition, Smart Evolution and Smart Content. The Samsung Smart TV is world’s first television with built-in HD camera and microphone, recognizing 26 languages including Arabic. It also packs over 400 applications in its app store.

The Samsung GITEX stand will incorporate a Smart Classroom solution, displaying a host of products including its E-board, SLATE PC and tablets. The stand is located in Hall 6 – Stand 5 (MAC 6-5).
