Job description:
The Sub-Editor will have an attention to detail that borders on obsession. He/she should also be a great writer who’s familiar with the Time Out style. Ability to work under tight deadlines is a must. Expertise in handling both print and digital editorial is essential, as is the ability to write market-beating headlines for a culturally engaged London audience
Key responsibilities:
Copyedit and proofread
Correct grammatical and spelling mistakes
Ensure the overall house style and tone are correct
Write captions, stand firsts and titles
Create Online Editorial Plan and manage online content
Qualifications:
All candidates must be fluent in English and have strong writing skills. A writing sample and edit test are required for this position. When applying for this position, include the subject line ‘Sub-Editor’.
