Tidalwave, the award winning marketing agency, today announced it is to open a new regional headquarters in Dubai, serving the Mena region. The agency has worked with global brands for a number of years and is now extending its footprint in both the Middle East and United States to access new opportunities for the agency and to further enhance its reputation for outstanding client service. The new office is expected to be operational from April 2010.

Founded in 1997, Tidalwave is an integrated, multi-discipline agency. For clients, it provides high quality planning and execution around direct mail, television and online campaigns with a focus on lead generation and ROI. Specialising in some of the most challenging industries including aerospace, energy, technology and telecoms, it has built a reputation as one of the industry’s most forward-thinking agencies. From the Middle East, Tidalwave will offer clients planning, creative, digital, social media and event management services to the region.

Tidalwave’s move Dubai will allow the agency to support its existing client base which includes a number of the most recognised global brands including Adobe, Canon, HP and IBM. It will also take on new mandates for both local and international businesses in order to support both their regional and global campaigns. The team in Dubai will be seeded with members of the London office in order to maintain the values on which the agency was founded and a smooth regional set-up process for existing clients.

“Dubai is a gateway to the Middle East and was the obvious choice for our regional headquarters, particularly with the impressive set up in Media City. We’re not interested in just putting dots on the map but growing with our clients by selectively broadening our footprint to provide them with the support they need. That means having the right people in the right place; with local knowledge and global thinking,”

said Tidalwave CEO Julian Sowerby.

“More than ten years on from founding the agency, I am delighted we are taking this exciting step. It means we will offer ambitious global brands a single agency network across Europe and the Middle East and with offices opening in San Francisco in the summer, we will soon cover a substantial part of the globe,” Julian added.
