Spurred on by the success of its SMS chat service in partnership with Google which was launched in September 2011, Zain Bahrain has further developed the service to include a new popular service in the region.
“Our new service with Google Q&A promises to take user experience to the next level for our customers,” said Fatima Haidar – Consumer Marketing Specialist, Zain.
Zain subscribers can post a question on Google Q&A with a simple text SMS to 94004444 for which they will be charged part 30 fils per SMS sent. When the question is answered by a web user the subscriber will receive an uncharged SMS as answer to the question.
The mobile subscriber is allowed to receive only five messages after each message sent. A new message will have to be sent for the next set of SMS answers.
“This service development by Zain Bahrain accommodates knowledge building through technology transformation,” added Fatima. The SMS interface of Google Q&A allows Zain Bahrain customers to enjoy this unique highly user friendly service.
Zain Bahrain entered the Kingdom’s telecoms market in 2003 as the second mobile service entrant. Riding on the promise of innovative business practices and cutting-edge technology, Zain Bahrain has delivered by putting Bahrain on the global telecommunications map with a string of firsts – the first country with nation-wide 3G, then 3.5G and WiMAX coverage.
