14.3% of internet users in Jordan who had internet at home had a WiMAX connection, compared to 9.6% in October 2008

A new survey of Jordan’s internet users reveals that by mid 2010, 14.3% of internet users in Jordan who had Internet at home had a WiMAX connection, compared to 9.6% in October 2008. The Arab Advisors survey provides important insights into the Jordanian telecom and broadband market.

A new major survey of the internet users in Jordan was concluded by the Arab Advisors Group on August 10, 2010. The survey report, Jordan Internet Users and E-commerce Survey 2010, provides the results of a major comprehensive online survey of internet users in Jordan. The survey probed the patterns and trends of Internet use in Jordan including, online and video gaming, mobile Internet, e- commerce, e-banking and e-government.

The survey’s field work was conducted between May 2010 and August 2010. The final survey report and cross tabulation analysis will be delivered no later than September 10, 2010. Please contact us to get a copy of the survey questions.

Respondents were randomly targeted by receiving an email shot in their inbox utilizing multiple reputable mailing-list operators in Jordan. Moreover, leaflets were distributed randomly in some schools and universities. The survey results encompass answers from over 1,000 respondents that passed rigorous quality control checks conducted by Arab Advisors Group’s team. The survey was carried out on the general Internet population. The online survey yields a confidence level of 99% with a margin of error of less than 4%.
