Dubai, UAE – 17th of December, 2013 – Today, Google announced its annual Year End Zeitgeist, a look at 2013 through the collective eyes of the world on the web, offering a unique perspective on the year’s major events and hottest trends based on searches conducted in the United Arab Emirates.
This year’s trending searches for queries and people show growing interest in technology brands and viral phenomenons on the web. The findings highlight the UAE’s population keeping up with global technological and web phenomenon trends.
The trending lists for UAE also highlight a dominating interest in annual events such as Ramadan, Eid and Diwali and their derivatives. The majority of trending individuals for the UAE for 2013 were global personas from across the world with regional and local personalities making the top 10 as well.
