ArabianEye announces call for entries for creatives Behind the Lens Competition in the Middle East
ArabianEye, the visual content provider for the creative community, today announced that, together with Corbis is holding the unique Creatives Behind the Lens competition in the Middle East. The highly-regarded competition, which originated in France and has been held in Europe repeatedly in recent years, recognizes the photographic talent of creative professionals who work in advertising, marketing and media.
The Creatives Behind the Lens competition is open to all non-professional photographers working in the creative industries across the Middle East.
The call for entries is opening on the 11th October, and those interested in entering the competition may do so by submitting 3 photos on any subject or genre to [email protected]. The call-for-entries continues through 12th November.
The pictures will be judged by a local and regional panel of esteemed industry professionals from the region and will include 10 of the region’s top creative professionals.
Judges include Benjamin Benser – Director, Creative Photography, Corbis Europe, Ali Ali – Creative Director, Elephant Cairo Egypt, Firas Hamdan – Creative Director, Fortune Promoseven Qatar, Feras Shoujah – Associate Creative Director, Leo Burnett Saudi Arabia, Jon Harrison – Executive Creative Director MAC DDB Qatar, Nicholas Geahchan – Executive Creative Director JWT MENA (Lebanon), Lucy Huggins – Photographers Agent Magnet Photo Production, Alisdair Miller – Creative Director, Grey Dubai, Seyoan Vela – Executive Creative Director JWT Dubai, Fouad Abdul Malak – Executive Creative Director Impact BBDO Dubai, Brian Kerrigan – Photo Editor of The National, Abu Dhabi Media, Ramzy Haddad – Executive Creative Director Y&R MENA.
Winners will be announced in November, and their work will be published in a Creatives Behind the Lens exhibition held at The Studio in Al Quoz at the Courtyard on the 30th of November, 2011. Prizes for the top 3 winners include ipads and more.
