Art Director | Apple Search & Selection Dubai

Strong conceptual/design skills are necessary and the individual must be able to handle a variety of channels, from print, online, press and film to viral and guerilla marketing.

The art directors will work in partnership with the copywriter as a ‘creative team’ and focus on the visual look and feel of the campaign. As part of this team the art director will work on a brief set by the client and will be involved at every stage of the production process.

Typical work activities may include:
1. meeting with the account management team to discuss the client’s requirements;
2. gaining an understanding of the target audience and business that the advert is aimed at;
3. working closely with the copywriter to generate creative ideas and concepts to fulfil the client’s brief;
4. meeting with the creative director before presenting ideas to clients;
5. pitching ideas to clients;
6. producing sketches or ‘storyboards’ (television) or ‘roughs’ or ‘scamps’ (print) to communicate ideas to the client;
7. briefing other members of the creative team;
8. commissioning photographers, artists or film-makers to work on projects;
9. visiting and assessing different locations for potential shoots and working on location;
10. attending meetings at production houses and with other directors;
11. working in editing suites to oversee the finished product;
12. advising new creative’s, reviewing their books and managing new teams on placement with the agency.

The ability to translate creative strategy into effective advertising solutions and the passion for creating path-breaking work are musts.
