Foursquare as an effective advertising tool

Here is a great example of how to use location-based service like Foursquare as an advertising tool, when you check in at any location it means that you are telling everyone that you are not home, which makes you an easy target for the burglars, once you check in at your house you would receive a message that urges you to protect yourself with good security systems like the ones provided by bauMax. It’s really a good use of Foursquare, but usually you share your location with friends, people you trust, anyway, it’s an excellent way to utilize Foursquare to communicate a message.

Another word with a new meaning to make me feel old. Foursquare is a Christian church denomination turned techy thing. Blackberries were fruit. Chrome was what your car wheels were plated with. Ya saara.
Another interesting way to use Foursquare in Marketing during exhibitions is mentioned here: http://spring2sky.com/blog/en/2010/11/14/great-use-of-foursquare-in-gitex/
