The Role
This position, located at the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) in Riyadh plays a key role in supporting Australian firms to develop business in Saudi Arabia. In addition, the position assists in promoting investment opportunities in Australia for businesses in Saudi Arabia.
The principle focus for this role is on the Infrastructure sector, which represents a key area of opportunity. Further priority sectors for Austrade in Saudi Arabia include Agriculture, Financial Services and Education.
Requirements
The position requires a highly motivated team member with experience in business development, preferably in an international environment. Further selection criteria for this role are:
Demonstrated high level communication skills with a particular ability to represent Austrade and Australia in a professional capacity to a broad range of audiences.
Demonstrated skills in the development and management of productive working relationships as well as proven ability to utilise a network to help achieve business results.
Demonstrated track record of achieving results in a commercial environment
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
Sound experience in (or demonstrated ability to develop knowledge/understanding of) factors and decisions relevant to business development, Government policies and practices relevant, Australian business capability across priority sectors and the issues facing exporters and investors.
