Our client, an international organization, is urgently looking for a high powered Business Development Manager who will be based in their newly set up office in JAFZA, Dubai but will be assigned to handle business across UAE and Middle East region. With direct report to the General Manager, you will be primariy responsibile for establishing and bringing in new clients and converting this engangement into actual sales. This role will be a dual function as the person should be able to perform sales and business development at the same time.
Skills
In order to be successful, you should be have at least 10 years sales BD experience in the UAE. If currently based outside UAe, you must have recent BD Sales experience in the UAE. You should have proven BD and Sales experience – i.e. able to close a sale not just look for opportunities. You should have the ability to search for business bid opportunities but also be able to do both the BD and then take it to a sale. You must be able to work with global support services – the team in the UAE will be small so this person will need to be able to do most aspects of a bid tender either themselves or by using the resources in Australia. You must work fairly autonomously – as you will report to an Regional Manager in the region and have an admin support person but you will need to be a self starter and able to drive your own daily activities. You must have desalination water treatment experience.You must have 'start up' new business experience and prove that you can build a region's sales.
