A Business Editor who best selects the current and up-to-date business news which attract the readers every day, edit these news and make them suitable to be read and to be more and more attractive, selecting the best subjects of them and linking them to the social media websites and always ambitious to increase the number of readers and the traffic.
The role will involve:
• Researching, and great selecting for the business current news and issues daily (Top Stories)
• Uploading content onto our web server at regular intervals in the day
• Well editing the content of the selected news
• Suggesting suitable picture ideas for the selected news
• Writing short abstracts and captions
• Select the best titles and link them to the social media websites (Facebook and Twitter)
Key tasks:
• To prioritize, organize and upload the news
• Screen and sift the best news and content from Al Bawaba internal resources and link them to the social media websites and track trends
• Familiar with Social Media to build and get to know our tribe- readers, bloggers, and fans
• Good knowledge of regional cultural/economic subtleties desired
• Contribute to promoting site as local and regional information resource
• Attract target demographics to site
• Experience with Twitter desirable
