Job Description
· Management of the communications and media section and its staff.
· Lead role in delivery of a proactive media relations program
· Lead role in delivery of a proactive events management program
· Development of corporate identity and suite of publications to promote the company as a world class organization in its sector
· Monthly report on project workflows and activity of the unit
· Implementing internal communications activity across the company
· Fulfilment of events in the events calendar
· Confirmation of KPI’s as outlined for the Communications officer (media relations); Communications officer (events)and Publications Officer
· Customer satisfaction feedback from media representatives
· Customer satisfaction feedback from the delivery of events
· Implementation of corporate identity across the company
· Qualifications
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in English or Journalism and at least five years experience in the fields of public relations; press office/media relations and/or journalism.
5-10 years in a similar position in a large organization
· Detailed knowledge of corporate identity development and production of brand guidelines; production of these collaterals
· Implementation of corporate identity across large organizations
· Knowledge of event management tactics and techniques.
· Knowledge of design and production of publications
· Involvement in internal communications strategy development, collaterals, tactics and techniques.
· Experience of event management in previous employment
· Experience of working with vendors across all areas of responsibilities a key asset.
· Demonstrable organizational and planning skills
· Management experience of running a small team
· Strong writing skills
· Good interpersonal and communications skills with cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in diverse communities.
· Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
