Corporate Communications Manager | Condor Exchange Holding Manama, Bahrain
The candidate must have prior experience in branding, public relations, internal communications or other related communications disciplines in addition to a track record of building productive relationships with media agencies (print and broadcast, PR), as well as brand and advertising agencies.
Reporting to the Head of Corporate and Business Development, the candidate must have highly developed interpersonal skills and be able to establish strong working relationships with senior level management (Condor Holding Management and Country Heads) to provide strategic communications counsel, support and expertise.
Responsibilities of the Head of Corporate Communications include reputation management (sponsorship and corporate brand visual identity), media relations (issues and crisis management), and internal communications (employee branding programme).
Brand Strategy
Develop, guide and manage Condor’s brand strategy to ensure direct link with the overall corporate strategy. Oversee execution of integration campaigns across business lines to ensure increased asset value, corporate revenues and profit. Manage 3rd party relationships and budgets associated with branding and integrated communications activity.
Communications Strategy
Internal communications, media/ public relations and community affairs, thought leadership, ensuring alignment with overall company vision, mission and goals. Develop and direct strategic media outreach plans that generate favorable and cohesive media attention and penetration for the company in collaboration with Condor’s appointed media/public relations agency and the Condor business lines.
External Communications
In collaboration with Condor’s appointed media/PR agency, build thought leadership platforms for the media, establish/foster relationships with local, regional and global media to frame cohesive brand messages for Condor. Manage corporate reputation and risk in the media through appropriate media relations, policies, protocols and communications guidelines.
Issues and crisis management
In collaboration with Condor’s appointed media/PR agency, develop crisis-management communication planning, readiness, and response capabilities guidelines.
Internal communications
Design and develop employee communication programs and materials that build Condor’s employee brand. Design and execute strategic internal communication plans to enhance employee engagement and promote understanding of business priorities and key initiatives. Develop and manage content of internal communications tools especially the corporate intranet, employee meetings, town halls. Set standards for content of communication materials, distribution, and knowledge management
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· Education: degree in marketing, business, or communications preferred
* The candidate will have at least 5-10 years experience in a corporate communications role within a financial services company
· Prior experience in a corporate communications role with the ability to demonstrate proven successes
* Marketing experience to financial services related product and services (e.g. credit cards, e-commerce solutions, remittances) is advantageous but not a prerequisite
· Extensive background in strategic planning in order to meeting corporate strategy objectives
* The ability to lead and manage projects both independently and with a team
* Experience in developing and creating messaging for a brand, and for senior key spokespersons
* Effective verbal and written communication skills (online and offline)
* Expertise in internal and employee communications and web/portal management
* Formal training in PR and media relations
* Demonstration of excellent inter-personal communication and presentation skills
* Fluency in English language is essential
