- Two new adverts proudly showcase Dubai and Abu Dhabi, reinforcing the UAE’s global reputation as a vital logistics hub
- Campaign celebrates DHL’s global partnerships with Manchester United and Formula 1™
Dubai, UAE, 28th June 2012: DHL Express, the world’s leading international express services provider, last night celebrated the launch of the second wave of its phenomenal International Specialist advertising campaign, with an exclusive event at The Address Hotel, Downtown Dubai.
Attended by representatives from some of Dubai’s biggest import and export businesses – the event highlighted just why DHL is at the forefront of the international express sector by showcasing its market leading capabilities and unprecedented international expertise and connections.
The second phase of the award-winning campaign features the classic “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” theme tune which was seen in the first campaign back in October 2011, but this time focuses on two of DHL’s most high profile partnerships – its sponsorship of Manchester United and Formula 1™.

Significantly, the two strands of the campaign – which can currently be seen on TVs, billboards and in print media across the UAE – both feature the UAE, with striking images of Dubai shown as part of the Manchester United advertising creative while Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island track is a prominent feature in the Formula 1™ version. Such coverage of one country in a global campaign is unprecedented for DHL and reinforces the UAE’s reputation as a strategically important logistics hub.
As part of the event, guests were treated to an exclusive screening of behind the scenes footage from the TV commercials, and also enjoyed an impressive performance by record breaking freestyle footballer, Victor Rubilar, who wowed the crowds with his outstanding football tricks and stunts.

“For DHL, this latest installment of the International Specialist campaign represents not only a celebration of our global partnerships but also the investments we have made into the people and networks that bring our brand to life,” said Frank-Uwe Ungerer, Country Manager for DHL Express UAE.
“The UAE’s geographical location, world-class infrastructure and forward-thinking approach to customs, have combined to create a strategically significant hub that connects the Middle East to DHL’s global network. We are incredibly proud that the UAE’s contribution to regional and global trade has been recognized in such a unique way, and we look forward to working with our partners in business and government to ensure that the UAE hub continues its growth into the future.”
