OUTSTANDING CONTENT PROGRAMME AT DUBAI LYNX 2012
12 February 2012 – The Dubai International Advertising Festival, MENA’s premier awards and annual platform for learning, inspiration, networking and celebration for the advertising and communications industry, will present an exceptional and thought-provoking programme for attending delegates.
Held at the Madinat Jumeirah resort in Dubai, this year’s line-up will include a two-and-a-half-day intense programme of insightful seminars and motivating workshops presented by a host of industry leaders. Discussing the latest trends in brand communications, the speakers from global networks, independent agencies and international media organisations will provide a unique and insightful opportunity for attendees to expand their knowledge and fuel their creativity.

Before going on general release in the UAE, the festival will open with an exclusive screening for Dubai Lynx delegates, of ‘The 99 Unbound’, the first animated feature film involving the ‘The 99’, a group of Islamic comic book superheroes that draw their power from Islamic values. Their creator, the Kuwaiti Dr Naif Al Mutawa, will personally introduce his acclaimed first feature-length production of this iconic animated series, share some personal insights and be on hand afterwards for a Q&A session.
Also on the first day, leading bloggers Issandr El Arabi and Mohamed El Dahshan will discuss with Katharine Viner, Deputy Editor of The Guardian, reaching the public with new ways of telling stories following how the recent Arab uprisings were reported.
During the festival, exhibitions and screenings of the work presented at the Dubai Lynx awards will provide creative inspiration and a snapshot of the best advertising in the region whilst select exhibitors provide a gateway to the latest technologies and services. Additionally, delegates will have the chance to see some of the most creative brand communications work from around the world at a showcase of some of the 2011 Cannes Lions, Eurobest and Spikes Asia award-winning work.

Presented by Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity together with their regional partners, Motivate Publishing, the Dubai International Advertising Festival is held with the support of Dubai Media City (DMC) and in association with the UAE Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA). The 5th Dubai International Advertising Festival will bring to the Middle East and Africa a series of high profile seminars, workshops, exhibitions and screenings aimed at giving creative inspiration, learning and networking opportunities to the advertising and allied industries in the region. The Lynx Academy, The Young Lynx Integrated Competition and Networking evenings are additional events enjoyed by participants. The Dubai Lynx advertising awards, which are part of the Festival, will honour creative excellence in Film, Print, Outdoor, Radio, Direct, Promo & Activation, Media, Interactive, Film Craft, Print & Poster Craft, Design, Mobile, PR and Integrated advertising and communications.
