07 October 2014 – The Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity, taking place from 8 – 11 March 2015, has today announced exciting new initiatives set to launch at the Festival next year.

Enhancing the content on offer during the Festival, two new streams will be added to the 2015 Festival – Arabic Day and TechTalks. Arabic Day is aimed at the wider MENA audience. Running alongside the main programme, it will offer seven hours of original presentations and panel discussions on a dedicated stage within the Festival. Speakers from across the region will discuss the everyday problems and issues specific to MENA, allowing for practical and focused discussion. Sessions will be in Arabic, offering the chance for the creative communications industry from the region to connect. A second addition to the content will be TechTalk sessions, which will offer insights from the businesses responsible for bringing new and ground-breaking technologies to the market, as well as showcasing the latest products.

Further initiatives will include The University of the Year Award and The School Award. Dubai Lynx is committed to nurturing and valuing young talent in the region and these new honours will run alongside the existing student awards for print and integrated, which will once again honour the rising stars, helping to recognise the industry’s next generation. These new awards will open for entries on 16 October and further information will be released shortly.

Commenting on Dubai Lynx, Emma Farmer, Festival Director says, “It’s an exciting time when we start gearing up towards the next Festival. Dubai Lynx serves as a reflection of the industry and so it’s important that each year we take the time to ensure that we are offering a Festival and Awards that inspires creativity, facilitates unrivalled networking opportunities and offers exceptional learning opportunities. Feedback from last year’s delegates and the industry pointed at the need for more focused Arabic content, so we’re particularly delighted that we are able to introduce this carefully curated day which will run alongside our main content programme.”

For the first time, both Turkey and Pakistan will be eligible to enter the awards allowing them to pit themselves against the rest of the region and stand a chance of taking home MENA’s most prestigious award for creativity in communications. Entries will be accepted from 26 November to 5 February, with submissions made before 29 January receiving an earlybird discount. Anybody wishing to attend the Festival and Awards will be able to register for their place from 16 October. Further information on the Festival can be found at www.dubailynx.com.
