Etisalat showcases the ultimate TV experience at Cabsat MENA 2011
Etisalat announced its participation in Cabsat MENA 2011. With a theme to showcase the ‘ultimate TV experience’, Etisalat promises to bring the next generation of TV entertainment in the UAE, by offering most advanced television and video services in terms of technology and an unmatched breadth of content, to eLife and e-vision customers.
Being the first operator in the region to launch High Definition & 3D channels, Etisalat is now looking forward to capitalise on its technology expertise and state-of-the-art fiber-optic network to provide the most advanced interactive television viewing experience, which will transform the TV viewing habits of people in the UAE.

Etisalat through its eLife triple play and e-vision service currently delivers the highest number of HD channels in the UAE. “Etisalat TV’s HD channel expansion comes as consumer demand for HD TV reaches an all-time high. Customers will not only be able to enjoy HD content on their enabled HD TVs, but also watch that content when and where they want on the new IPTV platform.”
Etisalat’s current HD channels offered through eLife & e-vision include: AD Sports, National GEO Adventure HD, Fox Movies HD, OSN Series, Sky News HD, OSN Movies HD, Food Network HD, Outdoor Channel HD, Discovery HD, NAT GEO Wild HD, Showsports 1 HD, Fox Sports HD, Fashion HD, i-Concerts HD, Luxe.TV HD, Al Jazeerah Sports HD/HD2 and Dubai Sports HD and more.
The new Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) provides a sneak preview into programme highlights and timings of over 250 channels from eLife & e-vision, some of which are not available to this region otherwise. The EPG will provide information on programme schedules for the week for a period ranging from 3 days to 1 week. It will thus provide a convenient planning mechanism for customers who have busy lifestyles so that they can decide on their entertainment options during the week and don’t miss their favourite programmes.
With Personal Video Recorder (PVR) introduced by Etisalat, customers will also be able to pause live TV, digitally rewind to a program they have just missed, or record their favourite programmes.
Etisalat TV services, offered through eLife and e-vision are a leading source for regional entertainment in the UAE to offer over 350 TV channels in 21 different languages, ranging from sports to movies, from documentaries to music and kid’s channels in addition to 23 high definition premium channels.
