Jeeran – owner of “Jeeran Amman” website, the specialized online source for local venue and service reviews in Amman – held a series of events aimed at interacting with different media entities, bloggers and Jeeran’s online community. The three events allowed Jeeran to engage with its users and gain constructive feedback in order to further develop the website and increase its number of visitors.
The first event, held on 14th December 2011 at Jeeran’s headquarters, was a media gathering that hosted a group of Jordanian journalists, while the second – held on 20th December 2011, was the Company’s monthly community meeting with “Jeeran Amman” website users. Jeeran’s third event, held on 28th January 2012 at Wild Jordan Café, brought together Jeeran’s team with a group of active local bloggers, tweeps and social media enthusiasts.
The three events stem from Jeeran’s genuine interest in interacting with local community members in order to provide them with tools that enable them to generate accurate local content.
The informal events were also held for the purpose of promoting the Company’s “Jeeran Amman” website, jo.jeeran.com, as the number one online source of information, reviews, insights and ratings regarding the best venues and services in town.
Jeeran firmly believes in the important role journalists and bloggers play in generating accurate local content, being the number one influencers on Internet users. As such, Jeeran educated attendees about the Company’s direction and services, highlighting its position as one of the largest Arabic content portals in the region and ranked among the Arab World’s top informative websites. The events discussed a range of topics including Jeeran’s reach in the region and the services it provides to the Jordanian market, which is in short supply of online Arabic content.
Jeeran CEO and Co-Founder Omar Koudsi expressed his delight at interacting with local community members and added, “These events are organized in line with our efforts to create strong relationships with journalists and our website users. They also support our mission of providing valuable online Arabic content. We hope that our Jeeran events will teach people to harness the power of the Internet and leverage our ‘Jeeran Amman’ website.”
