Assistant Brand Manager | Beiersdorf Middle East Dubai, UAE

Job Purpose
Reporting to the Brand Manager, the main purpose of this position is to actively contribute to the achievement of relevant product category and specific brand objectives.
In addition the position is required to provide full support to the Brand Manager in the development of the brands through the coordinated use of specified elements of the marketing mix.

The main accountabilities of the position include:
• Assisting in the bottom-up process for the preparation of the 3-year business plan by brand group

• Contribution to the formulation and implementation of the annual Marketing Plan and liaise with relevant resources to identify appropriate product innovations and with internal functions to ensure they are fully briefed and able to deliver on the Marketing Plan

• Liaison with and management of agencies to ensure the proper adaptation of marketing and communication strategies to the different local markets

• Achievement of sales, profit and market share objectives in line with the Annual Marketing Plan through monthly performance analysis leading to recommendations for appropriate corrective actions

• Monitoring of marketing investment in line with the agreed Marketing Plan and tracking of expenses, revenues and forecasts

• Review and evaluation of alternative marketing investment opportunities in order to maximize return on investment

• Coordination with Trade Marketing function in order to achieve the agreed Customer Marketing Plan

• Development of a thorough understanding of the local consumer needs and competitive context

Skills
You should hold a Bachelors Degree from a recognized University preferably in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.

Previous work experience in marketing in FMCG industry is an advantage.

Fluency in English and the ability to read, spell, and speak Arabic correctly is mandatory.

High proficiency in MS Office applications (advanced Excel) and Adobe Acrobat is required.
Previous SAP experience is an advantage.
