Conference Specialist | IDC Middle East & Africa Casablanca, Morocco

IDC is expanding its global business in the Middle East & Africa region. We are recruiting a conference specialist to be located in Casablanca. The position will serve Moroccan operations as well as support the regional goals and business strategy in the Middle East and Africa region.

Join the new branch, and work with an international team dedicated to research, event and advisory services.

Key Objectives for the position of Conference Specialist (Senior position):

* Support the Conference team and regional director and achieve success of IDC conferences;
* Hold overall responsibility for IDC conferences in North Africa (Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria etc.);
* Find and recruit local sponsors for IDC conferences; coordinate sponsorship recruitment with IDC MEA colleagues;
* Execute all administration and logistics for IDC events (including site research and selection, negotiating and contracting with sites and suppliers, on-site management);
* Manage and execute attendee recruitment, attraction and registration;
* Execute preparation of all written materials for the event;
* Manage all conference databases (end user and sales);
* Manage conference budgets, achieve profit target for IDC conferences;
* Liaison with local sponsors after each event;
* Serve as a key contact to PR activities on the market;
* Provide support for IDC marketing as time allows
* Actively look for sponsors, and executive all assigned sales activities in area of conference business of IDC.

Skills
* Strong organizing skills and attention to detail;
* Strong business/sales skills;
* Ability to manage multiple tasks while working under deadlines;
* Excellent knowledge of written and spoken Arabic, French and English;

Candidate has to be able to demonstrate:
* Creativity and flexibility;
* Proven track record in event and conference management (min. 3-4 years);
* Good level of user knowledge of MS Office and databases;
* Overview of ICT markets is a strong plus.
