Content Editor | DU Telecom Dubai, UAE

Job Purpose:
The content editor is responsible to manage, run & create a unique and appealing editorial content on the “World of entertainment”(WOE) platform. The candidate should have strong analytical & editorial skills in order to be able to create “class A” editorial land content from available resources across the MENA regions.

Principal Accountabilities / Key Result Areas:
Content creation
- Monitor content published on all Medias & coming from news agencies.
- Edits and repackages all available editorial content in order to create unique WOE content inventory
- Assumes full responsibility of WOE’s content
- Monitor the production of WOE own content in its category

Content quality
- Ensure that the created editorial content is up and above the industry known standards
- Ensure that all created content is error free and filtered.

Content updates
- Responsible for the Accuracy and the dynamic of updates time on the platform

Knowledge, skills, Experience & competencies:
Knowledge:
- Understanding of the web/online world.
- Understanding of the Mena Market
- Can demonstrate knowledge and experience of writing for the web
- Understanding of Web Content Management systems “CMS”
- Knowledge of the principles of online marketing including SEM and SEO

Experience:
- Minimum 2 years Experience in creating a wide range of content types including articles, reports, editorials, reviews
- Have commissioned and developed content for publication online
- Have worked with Web Content Management systems

Skills/Competencies:
- Fluency in Arabic and English or/and French is a must
- good creative writing and sub editing skills
- Good computer skills Preferably HTML and XML basic knowledge Good knowledge of CMS
- Team player
- The ability to meet and exceed strict deadlines, no matter what circumstances prevail, mixed with a good sense of humour and team spirit is key to succeeding in this position.
