Our leading client in Government sector – dubai is looking for Editor . Plan the contents of publications according to the publication”s style, editorial policy, and publishing requirements. . Read, evaluate and edit articles to improve the language ensuring consistency. . Read copy or proof to detect and confer with authors to correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar and regarding changes in content, style or organization, or publication. . Write concrete, concise and interesting copy and suggest creative headlines and captions. . Retrieve and rearrange articles from archives and determine index items and arrange them alphabetically or topically, indicating page or chapter location. . Check publication production, including artwork, layout, typesetting, and printing. . Take care of the journal’s response to appeals, complaints, reader suggestions, and ethical problems regarding published work. . Write articles for press releases, bulletins, editorials etc. . Maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability of information in line with Dubai Customs information security policies and procedures in order to protect information from any disclosure or misuse.

Skills
Carry out several of editorial duties such as proof reading, laying out, indexing and conferring with authors for revising content of written materials and prepare final publication.

Minimum Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications, English Literature or a related field. Experience: 1-2 years experience in reviewing, drafting or editing documents, preferably in a multi-platform environment
