Corporate Communications Manager | Muscat, Oman

Based in Muscat, you will develop a far-reaching corporate communications strategy for this government owned utilities company. You will report to a Head of Communications but a crucial aspect of the role is to teach your boss and your subordinates the job of PR, they are locals. Roughly 30% of your time will be spent mentoring and coaching.

Requirements
The organisation interacts intimately with the general public and is currently undergoing a large scale infrastructure development programme. You will need to build a community engagement plan as well as a strategy for engaging with other stakeholders including government and environmental groups. Internally you will manage communications across 470 employees, ensuring a smooth delivery of messaging; as well as media training, town halls and intranet. This organisation intends to float in the medium term so corporate profile is of paramount importance to the local and regional media, particularly any relevant investor communities.
