JOB DESCRIPTION
The New Media – Designer is responsible for developing compelling, disciplined ideas and designing creative, persuasive layouts. The Designers role entails developing ideas that can successfully cross all digital mediums, and it is integral that a close working relationship be established with the technical team. He/she must be able to take a brief from concept through to execution, and work closely with the Creative Director & Account Director to ensure the best possible result.

Skills
- At least 3+ years experience in casual or consumer-oriented website design, interactive presentations & flash animations.
- A portfolio of shipped products, preferably with examples online.
- Formal design training with solid typography, graphic, layout and interaction design skills.
- Knowledge in latest versions of:
• Flash
• PhotoShop,
• Illustrator / Corel Draw
• Director
• Dreamweaver
• Fireworks
• 3d Max
• Sound Forge
• Adobe Premier
- Understanding of HTML, DHTML, PHP and JavaScript (rollovers, pop-ups) and the capabilities of web browsers and user interaction are essential.
- Strong concept development and graphic design ability.
- Excellent understanding of composition, color, imagery, typography.
- Experience creating and working with site maps, online ad rich media storyboards, user flow, wireframes, and other information design documents for web sites and online advertising.
- Excellent understanding of user experience issues.
- Solid experience creating:
• Websites, Interactive Presentations
• Flash animations and User interfaces
• Icons, color schemes & templates and layouts for use in online advertising and web site projects
• Ensuring site- wide color and typeface standards and consistency.
- Ability to self-manage projects and work within time deadlines.
- Team oriented, self-motivated.
- Bachelors degree in graphic design or commensurate experience
