Research Manager | ABQ Zawya Beirut, Lebanon

We are looking to recruit an experienced professional with extensive knowledge of the construction industry across the Middle East.

The successful candidate will be involved in developing and maintaining an online platform dedicated to delivering construction projects opportunities in Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals, Power and Water, Infrastructure and Real Estate for a community of Contractors, Suppliers, Consultants and Bankers.

Major Responsibilities
Supervise and manage a research team (10+); setting research targets and assignments
Develop the research team with regular industry related training
Expand geographical coverage of the service across the Middle East
Develop usefulness of service to other professionals in the industry/ project stakeholders
Innovate the research process and identify unique funtionalities for the service
Manage customer relationships and engage the community to share ideas and constant feedback
Quality control and updating

Required Qualification/Skills:
Finance and market data background is a must.
Proven track record in developing financial information products and analytics.
Strong analytical, technical, creative and problem-solving skills.
Proven extensive project management experience (PMP certification preferred).

Requirements
University degree is essential in a business related field of study.
At least 6 years of experience in the construction industry or related industries. Experience working for a contracting company, construction-related supply company, consulting firm or government entity involved in construction projects is strongly recommended.
Experience in the online media or general media/press industry is preferred.
At least 2 years experience of managing a team, including the training and development of staff.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral. Arabic is highly recommended.
This position requires someone who is adaptable, and has the ability to use their initiative and problem-solving skills.
Ambitious and entrepreneurial.
Strong attention to detail is required due to the high technicality of the work and to the large amount of published data.
