The SAP Application consultant is responsible for the development of business content and the documentation of operative activities in accordance with the appropriate standards.

Application consultants are responsible for making sure that the Business Blueprint and software configuration are tailored to the business processes and that analysis and report requirements are fulfilled. They use their knowledge of proven business procedures to support them in these tasks. Application consultants also function as advisers and work closely with the rest of the project team.

Day to day activities include: process design, gap analysis, influencing key business stakeholders; configuration, system testing; legacy data mapping and integration

Key Accountabilities

1. Provides effective strategic direction to methods and technologies used in the area of expertise.

2. Understanding and Validating Requirements and System attributes.

3. Proposing solution to solve a customer problem

4. Specifying how the solution will be integrated with other systems.

5. Developing and documenting the software design and construction configuration items.

6. Conducting research, analyzing and summarizing data; predicting trends in the area of specialty

7. Supporting knowledge transfer of SAP Application expertise to client & other project team members

8. Development of business content and the documentation of operative activities in accordance with the appropriate standards.

9. Implementing SAP Projects using SAP solution manager methodology to other SAP modules and legacy applications.
