Bayt.com is looking for a talented Web/Graphic Designer to work within the overall design of new product initiatives tailored for the online world. This role works directly with our Lead Designer and Product Development Managers.

One of the many reasons Bayt.com has consistently brought innovative products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management and Design. Focused on the future, we must grow our team to work closely with a new batch of creative and prolific engineers to design and develop technologies that serve as useful online tools.

Our Web/Graphic Designer will also be involved in User Interface Design and function at the intersection of product and engineering.

Candidates are required to be able to build and implement complex interactions in collaboration with product designers.

This position is full time and based in our offices in Amman, Jordan.

Responsibilities:
* Support Lead Designer
* Work with product team on new initiatives
* Work with designers to implement and maintain user-facing features for an audience of millions
* Ship products of the highest quality through strict attention to visual and interaction details
* Utilize and contribute to new products’ core UI libraries
* Implement and extend style guidelines with the rest of the product design team
* Facilitate communication throughout the development process between a variety of internal and external teams including engineering, design, user operations, key executives and others
* Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to ensure that products satisfy customer needs
* Understand Bayt.com’s strategic and competitive position, and work to define and deliver the best products which maintain, shape, and improve that position

Requirements
* Strong portfolio featuring web and print design
* Expertise in XHTML, CSS
* Expertise in Photoshop and Illustrator
* Ability to handle the pressure and fluidity of a start-up environment
* Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders
* Deep understanding of the social networking space
* BS or BFA in design or related field

Bonus
* Experience with user testing and complicated workflow design
* Knowledge of PHP, Javascript, Flash and Unix
* Knowledge of other media software packages a big plus – web, video editing, audio editing, etc
* Portfolio includes self-started personal projects
* Active in the design community
