The Role

JV subsidiary of global brand of lighting solutions.

Product placement in over sixty countries in the MENA region

Planned growth of up to five hundred percent in five years

As part of a large organization, specializing in International joint ventures and major business divisions, this role will encompass the marketing strategy for all seven brands incorporated under the group. The group manufactures and distributes their products from their purpose built facility in Sharjah to sixty countries within the MENA region, with strong expansion plans in the pipeline. The group’s main business units comprise of lighting solutions, marketing and distribution of batteries, system integration and home automation.
This role demands a pure, strategic marketing background; technical marketing, brand management and promotion, product placement, market awareness and market analysis are all part of the skill set required for the role. You will be responsible for directing the marketing activities of the company’s products and services to create brand awareness and increase customer loyalty. As such, you will coordinate with various media houses to design and implement an effective advertising and promotional activities calendar, integrating workout launch plans for new products and brands and creating relevant POS materials. Additionally, you will need to ensure the effective and profitable investment of allocated budget and show creativity and ability in analyzing statistical data in order to calculate long range logistical planning.

Requirements

We are seeking candidates with between five to ten years of experience, fluent English skills and very practical, hands-on experience. Clear commercial acumen with a proven ability to deliver growth, the successful applicant will be a respective industry thinker and thorough leader with a dynamic personality. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to motivate and forge strong internal and external relationships are essential. A marketing degree is a pre-requisite for the role and experience gained within the FMCG sector would be beneficial. However, candidates with experience in a pure marketing role from an engineering, construction or infrastructure background will also be considered.
