O3 Production acquires Turkish TV-series at MIPTV
Dubai, UAE: May 27th, 2012: O3 Productions, a subsidiary of MBC Group that specializes in a variety of productions, drama acquisition and distribution services, signed a new contract with ITV Turkey to broadcast 4 new Turkish series during its participation in MIPTV, the leading international content market and showcase for television and digital entertainment, held in Cannes (France) recently.
The agreement includes acquiring: THE COMPROMISE (Original Turkish title ARAF ZAMANI), LISTEN TO YOUR HEART (Original Turkish title DINLE SEVGILI), THE TULIP AGE (Original Turkish title LALE DEVRI), LOVE IS IN THE AIR (Original Turkish title YER GOK ASK).
On this occasion, Fadi Ismail, General Manager of O3 Productions said: ‘We are continuously expanding our broadcasting landscape, whether it be in productions or acquisitions, we are always seeking opportunities that reach out to our broad audience base, while keeping in mind their need for upbeat and new content. He further added that O3 was able to negotiate several agreements to acquire series from Latin America and Turkey, as well as sell historical Arabic drama series to other countries in-line with the growth of the TV market in the MENA Region.
