Media Specialist | Manpower Middle East - Dubai, UAE
Our client, a government entity is currently seeking to recruit a Media Specialist . You will work under the direct supervision of the Communication and International Relations Manager who is responsible for all Media activities for the Chairman and CEO and all other Media activities that may have impact on the image and reputation of the company. Key Responsibilities Prepare press releases, news articles and other related materials for the Chairman. Prepare the Chairman for Radio, TV and any other media interviews. Prepare speeches and presentations for the Chairman. Prepare a detailed plan and program for releasing news and articles about the company in general and the Chairman in particular. Monitor all media for information (locally and globally) about the company and advise the Chairman on the best course of action in response to Media articles. Attend all external visits with chairman and any media related exposure. Review all films and advertisements to be released in the company’s name. Advise on the structure of the company's magazine. Ensure that the office notice board andor announcements are reviewed and updated regularly. Fulfill all reporting requirements, and maintain records concerning protocol-related data. Review all the company advertisements and ensure complying by its policy and strategy. Participate in the arrangements of press conferences and events including promotions, awards, retirements, changes of command, and other ceremonies. Prepare chairman’s events calendar and make recommendations about the required levels of participation from the company. Coordinate with governmental departments and other concerned bodies to ensure that the required resources are on time available at the venue of the eventsceremonies. Prepare in-house schedulereportsanalysis of the planned media eventsceremonies and define the level of involvement as proactive and analytical arrangements to ensure the success of the team mechanism at all times. Represent the office at the meetings regarding Press conferences, Events and Ceremonies and relevant activities. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position when appropriate.
Skills
Candidate Profile Bachelor in Business Administration or related field from a recognized University. Masters is preferred. Minimum 6 years of related experience. Excellent knowledge of media and public relations, working in a Government setting. Excellent knowledge of all events and functions, systems, and procedures. Efficient and sensible human factor management is a key advantage. Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes. Computer-literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering wide variety of applications. Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects. Innovative problem-solver who can generate workable solutions and resolve complaints.
