Games Available Complimentary until 10 January 2012
Dubai-UAE: 29 September, 2011 – Sony Ericsson today announced the availability of four titles from Electronic Arts (EA), a leading American developer, marketer, publisher and distributor of digital games.
The games optimized for Xperia™ PLAY include Need for Speed-Shift, Dead Space, Battlefield-Bad Company-2 and Need for Speed-Hot Pursuit. All four titles will be available for Xperia™ PLAY customers free of charge from 1 October 2011 – 10 January 2012 .
The announcement came on the sidelines of the Gaming Alliance Middle East Show 2011 (GAMES’11) that registered participation by Sony Ericsson. The event came to life through a strategic partnership among major gaming companies in the region including Microsoft, Pluto Derinton Games, Red Entertainment and Sony PlayStation. Games’11 was held from 22 – 24 September at the Dubai Mall.

Xperia™ PLAY is the first PlayStation-certified smartphone. It runs on Gingerbread 2.3, the latest version of Google’s AndroidTM platform and offers all the benefits that users in the Middle East have come to expect from Sony Ericsson’s existing range of Xperia™ smartphones. It is equipped with a slide out gaming control that opens doors to Xperia™ PLAY’s unique immersive mobile gaming experience.
