Webology completes 3rd deployment of MyRetail e-commerce solution

Webology, an integrated online development and online marketing company, focused on innovative online solutions & ventures, announced the launch of their e-commerce platform to meet the needs of a growing market within the region

“This quarter Webology has completed its 3rd deployment of MyRetail, for a leading retailer in the region. MyRetail is a robust end-to-end e-commerce solution that is targeted at large retailers who are eager to take advantage of the rapidly progressive market by selling their products and offerings online, in order to help increase sales and gain operational efficiencies,”

said Nick Nice, Director of Sales at Webology.

Nick Nice went onto say, “In 2009 alone, UAE consumers spent an estimated $18m – $22m on online purchases. This figure is expected to grow by 60% – 80% to approximately $30m – $35m by 2014. We believe that MyRetail provides a tremendous opportunity for retailers in the region to sell and have presence online with a proven e-commerce platform, that several large businesses are already using successfully.”

Nice then elaborated on the nature of Webology’s offerings, “MyRetail is a very unique offering because not only has it been built in such a way to allow for customisation, it also comes with ready-made connections to stock/ retail management systems & 3rd party delivery companies, such as UPS & Aramex.”

“As well as connections to all the large payment gateways in the UAE; which makes MyRetail a more cost-effective and attractive option for local retailers, over solutions offered outside of the Middle East. Moreover, the solution can be leased, where companies that want to shy away from large capital expenditures can lease the solution on a monthly basis, to help spread the cost and mitigate the risk,” Nice added.
