AreebaAreeba participates in the Content Delivery and Digital Services Middle East

AreebaAreeba, the first socioeconomic networking website in the Middle East, participated in the ‘Content Delivery and Digital Services Middle East’ Conference and Exhibition, which concluded its activities today in Dubai; to discuss the future of content service in the region.

Ayman Irshaid founder and CEO of AreebaAreeba was one of the panelists representing internet companies and social media. The session discussed measuring the development of internet content and social media in the ME. The discussions covered the social networking and real-time search and their impact on networks, the growth of online videos in the region and connecting new Middle Eastern audiences with online content.

The panel also discussed the missing content across the region and the change needed in the internet infrastructure to support this as well as the capacity needed to support the growth rates of the Arabic content on the internet.

From his side, Irshaid showed case AreebaAreeba as becoming a social networking site of choice for people in the ME supporting this by the growth indicators presented in the 650 thousands registered users and 120 thousands unique visitors to the site. He added that AreebaAreeba is directing its effort to fill the cultural gab between the East and the rest of the world adding “we at AreebaAreeba are working on putting the Arab world for the first time on top of the listed global social networking sites”. Irshaid also pointed out the challenges facing AreebaAreeba and the importance of engagement provided by social networking sites and its impact on the culture change in the region. He concluded by saying that “AreebaAreeba is creating the products that will bring the Arab world online, and then offer Middle East businesses the opportunity to talk to their audience”.

The conference featured input from all players of the Middle Eastern and international content value chain allowing senior executives from media companies, internet content companies, carriers, mobile network operators, CDNs and content platform developers to meet.
