Abu Dhabi, 17 April 2013: The TrainYAS evenings that take place on the Formula 1TM track at Yas Marina Circuit every Tuesday, are now being sponsored by Activelife, Daman’s health and lifestyle programme.
The evenings, rebranded as TrainYAS by Activelife, are free and open to the public and combine the best of TrainYAS exercise initiatives with the Activelife philosophy of a healthy lifestyle.

To further promote the healthy lifestyle brand, Activelife, Daman has appointed Egyptian triathlete Omar Nour as its ambassador.

His inspirational journey saw him transform his sedentary lifestyle into that of a potential Olympian medallist simply by taking the first step of joining a local triathlon. He demonstrates everything Activelife embodies which is the simple fact that all it takes to get fit is getting involved in community activities and commitment,” said Dr. Rohte.

Nour is currently in training to compete in the 2016 Rio Olympics and hopes to become the first Egyptian triathlete in Olympic history. Daman is supporting him to reach his goal.

Commenting on becoming Activelife’s brand ambassador, Omar Nour said “Five short years ago, I weighed in at over 100 kg.  If I can do it, anyone can!  I am a big proponent of healthy lifestyle and have put a lot of energy and focus in sharing my story in an attempt to inspire people to get active.  I am incredibly excited to find a partner, Activelife that shares in my core values and invests in creating a healthier UAE.  I am looking forward to changing lives together!”

TrainYAS by Activelife will introduce to the F1 circuit a host of health-related activities. Daman’s Health Support team will be on hand at regular intervals to perform free screenings and offer advice whilst expert nutritionists and other special guests will make appearances throughout the year.

Over 2000 visitors attend the weekly TrainYAS evenings. Fitness workshops are also held regularly for those interested and more information is available on request.
