Eurobest 2010 Announces Winners of the 23rd Awards
News — By Samer Marzouq on December 9, 2010 at 10:56 pmLast night the Eurobest Festival concluded in the much anticipated Awards Ceremony and After Party which took place at the historical Hamburg landmark, the Curio-Haus. The 307 winners were revealed to the audience along with the prestigious Agency of the Year, Network of the Year and Interactive Agency of the Year awards.
The 2010 Eurobest Grand Prix were awarded as follows:
Design Grand Prix: Amsterdam Worldwide, The Netherlands, Tansu Shoe, Onitsuka Tiger
Direct Grand Prix: JWT Italia Milan, Italy, Auditorium, Heineken Beer
Film Grand Prix: Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Write the Future, Nike
Integrated Grand Prix: No Grand Prix Awarded
Interactive Grand Prix: Les 84 Paris, France, Monet 2010, Réunion des Musées Nationaux Fabernovel – Claude Monet Exhibition
Media Grand Prix: Bungalow 25 Madrid, Spain, Something has happened in Sietes, Microsoft Windows 7
Mobile Grand Prix: AKQA London, UK, True City, Nike Sportswear
Outdoor Grand Prix: DDB Stockholm, Sweden, The Fun Theory, Volkswagen Sweden – Bluemotion Technologies
PR Grand Prix: Bungalow 25 Madrid, Spain, A Village of Experts, Microsoft Windows 7
Print Grand Prix: DDB UK London, Terminator, Toy Story, Speed, Gremlins, King Kong, Back to the Future, Volkswagen Independent Cinema Sponsorship
Promo & Activation Grand Prix: Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO London, UK, Sandwich, PepsiCo – Walkers Crisps
Radio Grand Prix: No Grand Prix Awarded
Craft Grand Prix: TBWA\Paris, France, Death Penalty, Amnesty International France – Anti-Capital Punishment Campaign (Film Craft Category)
The Interactive Agency of the Year went to DDB Stockholm.
Ogilvy France were presented with Agency of the Year.
Network of the Year was awarded to DDB.
During the Awards, the Festival honoured IKEA for its continued encouragement of creative and unconventional advertising to raise awareness of their brand. Claudia Willvonseder, IKEA’s Global Marketing Manager, accepted the award for Advertiser of the Year.
Also announced at the Awards Ceremony were the winners of the Young Creatives competition, who were given just 48 hours to devise an integrated campaign fitting the brief given by The City of Hamburg to promote Hamburg as a vibrant and creative city for 18-30 year olds from across Europe as a destination to live and work in. Taking Gold was the team from the UK; Alfred Malmros and Alexander Hernesten. Silver went to Hungary and Bronze went to Estonia. The jury also gave a special commendation to the team from Norway.
Following the Awards Ceremony was the After Party, sponsored by SapientNitro, where delegates were able to celebrate and network in style at the end of a truly inspiring and educational Festival.
