INDEX Announces the Ramadan “Counter Strike 1.6” Game Tournament at the Giga Planet Network

Dubai – United Arab Emirates, July 29th 2012: Index Conferences and Exhibitions Organisation Est. – member of INDEX Holding announced the launch of the fifth edition of The Big Entertainment e-sports Show, formerly known as the World Game Championship (WGC) last Friday the 27th of July at Giga Planet Network – Dubai.

The Big Entertainment e-sports Show powered by MSI will be running during the month of Ramadan and has been recognized as the most anticipated video game tournament in the region. The Ramadan Tournament includes two rounds: the CS 1.6 Qualifier One, the CS 1,6 Qualifier Two and the Finals. The first qualifier took place during the 27th – 28th of July, and the second qualifier will take place from 2nd – 3rd of August, and the finals will take place on the 10th of August.

The Big Entertainment e-sports Show organizers announced earlier that this year there will also be the League of Legends Tournament which takes place at the Giga Planet Network – Dubai as well from the 31st of August and until the 1st of September.

The Ramadan tournament 2012 will highlight the “Counter Strike 1.6” game and is anticipated to be the largest CS 1.6 game tournament in the UAE in terms of the number of players participating and the most valuable cash awards that have ever been awarded.

Last year, more than 2000 gamers participated in the tournament from the UAE and the Gulf Region. And this year, more than 21 teams are participating from five countries: Iran, Kuwait, KSA, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.
