Job Description
Candidate will show at least 3 to 5 years of experience in private banking or asset management fields, where he was individually and part of a team responsible for meeting potential clients, showing them investment proposals and leading them to contracted investment committments. Candidate will have strong desire to perform these activities in the context of global, liquid, professionally managed portfolios. No private equity. No real estate. No derivatives. All investments are sharia compliant. Major global money center bank as custodian, respected sharia advisor. Clients will be takaful, awqaf and family offices, as well as corporate and agency treasuries. Candidate will also sit on the company’s investment committee.
Skills
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred Master’s degree. Must have fluid comprehension of Modern Portfolio Theory and related concepts, such as Efficient Frontier, Capital Market Line, point of optimality, correlation coefficients, Sharpe ratio, Beta, Alpha and other typical portfolio construction and performance terms.
Candidate must also speak and write Arabic with professional fluency, and must be fluent or very advanced in English.
Company will sponsor additional training and certification for the right candidate.
Candidate must dress well, appear neat and professional, and be able to mix and blend with clients who range from highly sophisticated to low sophistication in investment matters.
