‘Kaleidoscope, a Storytelling Festival’ until February 3, 2013
Dubai, UAE; January 23, 2013: Dubai Marina Mall, the popular lifestyle shopping destination for residents and visitors to the Dubai Marina community, is hosting ‘Kaleidoscope, a Storytelling Festival’ until the end of Dubai Shopping Festival on February 3, 2013.
At the storytelling festival children will be entertained by acclaimed international storytellers from South Africa, Scotland, Norway and the USA who will bring magical stories to life through drama, music and voice.
Different sessions are available for every age group daily from 4:30pm to 9pm on weekdays and from 2:30pm to 9:30pm on weekends, in the Storytelling Tepee in the Dome Atrium and outdoor on the Promenade.
Renowned author and illustrator of the Horrible Science series and 99 Dead Snowmen, Tony de Saulles, will demonstrate how to illustrate in his unique style. Children and parents will be able to try it for themselves on January 24 & 25 at 12:30pm, 2:30pm and 6pm.
On February 1 & 2 at 12:30pm, 2:30pm and 6pm, Carina Diedericks-Hugo, award-winning children’s author from Cape Town, will also present story-writing techniques for children and adults.
Dubai Marina Mall currently has over 140 retail outlets and provides an exciting mix of tenants including a supermarket, fashion wear, accessories, jewellers, boutiques, book & toy shops and children’s entertainment, in addition to a food court, the 6-screen premium Reel Cinemas, SEGA Republic Game Zone and ‘Skate Zone’, Dubai’s first outdoor skating rink.
